If you do an organic search now for Denver flowers you can see the issue that the writer is having:

Mike has, I believe, coined the term "authoritative onebox", wherein a single business shows up in a maps onebox within an organic search.

I suspect he coined the phrase from google patent writings by Bill Slawski here and in other writings

My impression is that it appears the business with the authoritative onebox results has done a great job of mastering some of the qualities and characteristics of Google Maps rankings.
