I AM a newbie. and would love to participate in a newbie forum! I get alot out of what everyone in here says and I value what I read from all of you. But, that doesn't mean that my 'Unquenchable thirst for knowledge' will be appreciated if I ask for too much feedback. Not necessarily in here, but in other forums<eeek!>people will stop commenting after a newbie post, almost like clockwork...as if to suggest that they a too busy p**ss*ng with the Big Dogs to play with the pups. I don't know, seems to me that none of us ever really know if the Bigger Dogs will ever parttake of what the pups have to offer someday. It also seems to me, that whenever someone begins to think he has all the answers, he too has alot to learn.

It is sometimes people get tired answering the question for -teenth time and start linking to previous threads, posts on the subject and all that. It doesn't mean they don't want to talk with you, but that the answer is relatively simple and hasn't changed.

I don't think asking many questions is a problem. We'll just refer you to some in-depth reading to match your level of SEO education

Btw, SEOs would be out of their jobs, if they haven't constantly been learning new things, every week, for years. So I doubt some SEO knows the answers to all questions. General questions on certain topics, maybe, though, but SEO isn't just about the websites and the search engines, but also people, and who can claim to know people well =)

Now you have me feeling feeling all warm and gooey inside. <sniffle><sniffle>

Thank you for keeping a tolerable tone with me about the Newbie thing. In reality, I need to read more of the posts about the topics I am studying. But, I get so excited when I hear you guys talking about your issues as if they were second skin, that I spend time here, that I could be spending on research. Until I started seeing how awesome SEO is, I never bothered with the whole forum interaction thing.

Your time is valuable and the last thing I want to do is impede. It would be a disservice to everyone including myself.

    Thanks A.N.onym!

If one is impede by you, it's because they payed attention when they should not. If they are too busy, what are they doing reading posts.

When I'm too busy, I don't read threads, if I do, I have no right blaming people posting questions I don't like or find too easy. This section was made precisely for Newbies and you are KING in this section... so feel at home and don't worry.
Disclaimer : My posts on SEO are just from my observations and I do not say it is a true fact... A real fact of life is that, I'm often wrong...

    Exactly.

newbie client = king in here

And what's more: we have a newbie shortage: we really need some more - if only to keep everyone sharp, busy and humble.

Just shoot if you wanna know something, share if you feel like sharing. And if the answer takes too long, just complain (in a nice way). Apart from that: don't forget to have fun

We professionals should be kind enough to answer all the newbies politely as we should not forget that we were also newbies at some point
