Here's what I'm doing:
1. I'll type the keyword that I will use in google. 2. I'll choose the top result and copy it's url. 3. I'll paste the url in google together with the link: command (example: link:www.domain.com). 4. As a result, google will show it's inbound links. There you will know the inbound links of your competitor. Note: Google don't show all the inbound links on it's result. I suggest you use yahoo instead of google. The link: command also works in yahoo.

Yeah well, but Google's "link:" command doesn't show everything, remember? Like lailascott and others have mentioned...

check your competitors backlink in the third option where you check the PR in the Google toolbar or check the method link:yourdomainname.com
