PR/Backlink update started, btw
About an hour ago. Not, of course, that anyone but me is awake here to see it.

Oh, this is just beautiful.
So, I'm trying to pin down exactly when the snapshot was that this update is based on. I can tell it's after April 1st, because the last Google 4/1 joke is now a PR7. I find another site that's Apr 9 that now has PR. I can also tell that it's before Apr 25... so I'm bouncing around, trying to think of a more effective way to find domains registered around that time... Then it hits me. My spam domain list has a list of registration dates. I think, nah, they couldn't have let THOSE get PageRank, the patented green bar that made Google famous... http://www.prinformer.com/index.php?u=wik5.info Spam domain registered Apr 15, now a PR4 website. Lovely. Meanwhile, the PR7 link I had so much hope on for getting PR to my links directory was gotten about 8 days too late. I am SO bummed. -Michael

Looks like a lot happened over night. Google started to roll out an update... Google rolled back the update. I'm actually glad I wasn't up for that.

kichus - the update stalled out but did some strange things. Looks like they were on their way to giving Microsoft a PR4 and Digg a PR0. I'm pretty sure this isn't intentional, and I would think that there might be a rollback on this update. I could be wrong. I'm kinda hoping they do roll it back, and push the snapshot forward say, oh, 10 more days.
