Allinanchor back?

I havent been paying attention to allinanchor lately because most of what I was seeing was pretty much off the wall results. The allinanchor rankings weren't correlating to the actual SERP rankings at all. However, today I did a bit of research and lo and behold, the allinanchor rankings were within one or two of the SERPs.

Is allinanchor back?

Yea .. Its almost back.. but sometimes shows vague results still for some keywords.. I always keep a check on the allinanchor query, as whenever my site sees a rise with that, it actually rises up in SERPS too.. so i guess you are right..its workin again..imho

the listing of the websites from highest ranked to lower ones, on the basis of backlinks in accordance to the anchor text used for making backlinks.

for e.g a query allinanchor:Weight loss will yeild out results of the websites which have used Weightloss as there anchor text for their backlinks, the number one website has the maximum backlnks with that anchor and it goes down..with SERPS pages following on

Here's a simple tip: Compare your organic rank to your allinanchor rank. If the allinanchor rank is higher, you need more onpage seo, if it's lower then you need more backlinks with that anchor text.

That is interesting. My allinanchor and SERPs were pretty much the same for the past year or so. The biggest difference is for my main keyphrase where for allinanchor my site is 5th and currently ranks 8th (actually fluctuates between 6th and 9th)

Nice reference Kichus. google had gotten rid of their official description of the allinanchor operator years ago.

I used to watch allinanchor so closely and stopped a while ago. It will be interesting to see if the operator and the reports seem to be in sync with serps and if heavy anchor text links are showing in allinanchor and impacting serps as they did a while back.

There's something in allinanchor that can throw you off though, gotta be careful. Sitewides appear to count fully in allinanchor:, while not yielding near as much to actual rankings.

Still handy to have tho.
