Little special searches (tiny move to answers instead of serps)

Henk @ Voelspriet has just pointed out that Google has started to highlight specific info about stuff (i.e. countries, pop groups) if you use the exact right keywords.

They tap into Wikipedia (of course ) and produce a little extension to the first result's title - giving a direct and somewhat accurate answer.

For example, a search for [genre sonic youth] showed this:

Sonic Youth (album) — Genre: Alternative Rock
According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_Youth_(album) - More sources »

I read it on Voelspriet first. Is this old news? Surely it's not....

Google is bound to be buying wikipedia soon. I mean, the two can't be any more intertwined if they were caught bumping and grinding on Sergey's desk.

What a scoop would it be if Yahoo or MS bought out Wikipedia? Or forged a "strategic partnership". That would be awesome!

I don't know if the idea of Wikipedia being owned by G is good or bad. I'm pretty sure the volunteer effort would go away, as G would figure out how to monetize the site and alienate it's volunteers. But at the same time, no matter what the volunteers did, the Wiki results would still get the back-door entrance to the top of the serps.
