    Google gives the PR to your site through the back links and traffic.

    It's little complicated. Relevant, quality backlinks is enough to get a good PR. You don't need thousands of backlinks to get a good PR.

    What - in your view - do the terms 'relevant' and 'quality' mean in this case? Because the last time I checked, PR was not influenced by quality, nor by relevance....

    PR is not totally depend on back links. If SE update its PR algorithm, those kind of site may loose their PR because it is not fit in recently PR algorithm updation.

    It is not only based on back links, but also with other factors as the ones like page authority, domain authority, trustworthiness of the site, quality of the site, contents etc.

    And where did you get this 'info'?

    Mind you we are talking about Google Pagerank. Look it up on Wikipedia if you must.

    Yes as long as the backlinks are quality ones that can help drive traffic to your website in an effective way.
