    Weird chars in a post

Anyone else seeing strange characters in the Rules post? Looks like stuff I've seen on db migrations in the past. I think Donna went through that a couple of months ago.

Editing the post should fix it. I think. If I'm not the only one seeing it, that is.

Was it something like that? Then I'm sure it was a copy/paste jobbie from an Apple text editor straight to the web (i.e. unconverted). Tsk, who uses Apples nowadays?

I did have that problem when I moved my blog to a new server that used a lower version of mysql. It was a pain in the butt to deal with.

Right, rule #8 and the last sentence before the sig. I'm thinking it might have happened during the restore from backup. Since it's just those spots editing the post and coirrecting them by hand should fix it. Might have happened elsewhere too though. If needed I could probably come up with a query to find where it happened, if it's the same thing. Has to do with encoding differances from one db to the next. These's a paper on it on the MySQL website. I could probably find it again.
