I've used all three. I think I'd like to get more of my sites on paid ads because it allows me to just worry about driving traffic, not pimping a product or placing YPN ads in critical real estate.

However, I've made the most off Affiliate stuff.

Adsense is tanking. I have 5 times as many clicks and get paid half of what I used too. I am in the process of removing Adsense from all of my sites (except I will leave a little link here or their for the extra change) because it does not pay. Plus, all the sites that would have paid direct for banner ads were using the "advertise here" and paying G to do what I should get direct. After banning so many sites with the filter it has left crap for good ads and payment.

Google really sucks now-a-days. Let the spammers make all the money with adsense...lol

By the way, the low income from AdSense will definitely get rid of spam ridden websites, as you can only sell affiliate products and advertising space on websites that attract real customers. Sure, you can buy PPC, but that's not the only option.

Same story here: 3-4x the traffic, same revenue. CTR fluctuates more than the English weather. Because of the latter, I'm guessing (in an educated way of course ) that the ad targeting has gone wrong for the sites.

As a side note - if you have Adsense in many places on a site and remove some of them, do you notice your $/click goes up for a couple days? I might be crazy, but I swear this happens whenever I cut back on AdSense - like they're trying to lure you back.

I've noticed that also. it doesn't make sense, though, if ads are paid properly. but with higher clickthrough % revenue has always increased for us, regardless of click volume. are different qualities of ads served with higher conversion rates perhaps?

I bet that G. can tweak the your share/G share ratio on the fly.

Funny, I've never realised it but it would be smart. Maybe it's in one of their patents LOL

I refers AdSense being crushed by affiliate and advertising. I'd guess smart affiliate marketing and character advertisement is the way to go and celebrate your report high plenty.

Affiliates and adsense are really very profitable.
