It has great graphics, and they are smoothly blended together, that's for sure.
The black column at the right hand side is a bit distracting. But on the whole: I think it's quite beautiful actually, even if that makes me a pussy. Duh, my cat is a pussy too and still cool 8) |

I can't really say that I'm a fan of that one. White on black on red is just too hard on the eyes. Looks like a flowery version of Stuntdubl's blog, which can be hard to manage sometimes.

Sure it's girly. It's made by a girl.
Most girls I know are girly, which is a good thing. Some are even very pretty too  Of course most of my own sites are straightforward and boxy and simple. And they do NOT have rounded corners  , let alone frilly edges.

The site has some strong messages and does give unique insite to an Americanized Arab lifestyle and the conflicts that occur there. The content is good.
The design is heavy. Something Photoshop users would appreciate more than the "common man" (as it were). I can't imagine a dialup user viewing the site... they's always be three posts behind. It's unique and shows personality. I think it compliments the tone of the writing very well. And yes, it's girly. Dark, conflicted, classic meets hiphop, East meets West. Overall I think it's an 8. And not somethink I would normally read. But it is well done.
