Good work TG. It feels so good to have had my salary tripled.
At this rate if Skitzz pays me one more dollar/year for this hard work.
I'll have $1![]()
Oh, but the "conversions" from my SRFG sig are just sublime. I don't need a mod salary. I just need more "active" members LOL.
Hey, DIY your SEO and smile!... Gotta love my host (no kidding)
Want a 'raise'?!!! How about I give all you mods free admittance to Wacko University??!! Cash value: $1,337 per semester.Originally Posted by rmccarley

You're right. But that's the problem with polls.Originally Posted by skitzzo
I'd say that having more active members than mods would be quite nice.
I think I can do without the personal and public attacks from mvandermer - I don't really understand what that's all about, but it seems to be a recurring theme (According to a -very- early comment from the person in question, I should ask Wit about comments made on the "mod-side" of SC, but I can't be bothered to do that). What, and do away with the whole "I'm so mysterious" ambiance he's trying so hard to establish? Good luck.
I'd say that persistant personal attacks should be more than frowned upon.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do - post a graphic photograph? A copy of my mariage license? Some wedding photographs?
I prefer to stay as I am, thankyou very much, but I'm beginning to wonder why certain people have such an interest. It's already traversed the "annoying" border but seems to be gaining momentum.
I think dealing with that might help - especially considering that there are so few active members - situations such as these tend not to get lost in the general noise of the place (there being none - or very little).
I think that would be my major suggestion for the time being.
If you need help getting rid of such characters, I think there is a law which could help you. You'll need to check that though.
As for me, I'll take it as a comment from SEORefugee - mvandermer being your spokesperson - and I'll try and stay away. That'll please him / her.
One more thing - you should spend more time on your smilie management...

You guys are doing great. As I imagine everyone here knows, building a forum takes time... a good bit of time and this site is under a year old, so, all things considered, I'd say it's quite remarkable how far along it is...
New members will come with time.... there will be a lot of new members when the organic search traffic starts rolling a bit more.
As far as personal attacks in the forum, I have seen a bit of that (which I think is somewhat unavoidable in a basically anonymous forum atmosphere); that having been said, it should definitely be dealt with swiftly, and, it seems you're pretty well staying on top of that. Really, more fundamentally and to the point, the administrators of a forum set the tone, and, the people that participate generally follow suit, and, those who don't find the general vibe to their liking, go elsewhere... that has been my experience..... so, I'd say you've done well in setting a friendly atmosphere that also has a lot of room for off-topic, more light-hearted things as well.....
And, most importantly, some tips I've picked up here managed to get one of my sites ranking well... actually, it'd be more accurate to say ranking beautifully for a fairly competitive term (thanks dd)
that's all out of me,
thank you,
kf
