    Broken Shout Box

    If I am logged out I see:

    Code:
    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /vbshout.php on line 293
    Which makes it look like the site is busted.

    Never got that... so it must be because you don't shout enough and your browser is starting to rust on the shouthing side.

    It should in fact present a message that the shoutbox is for (logged-in) members only.

    It's weird, but nowadays it's safe to blame

    Fixed. The host settings must be set to display error messages at a different level from the last host. I turned off error reporting in index.php and vbshout.php, commenting out the old levels and adding in this line:

    error_reporting(0);

    You could also turn them off sitewide or for a specific directory using .htaccess if you wanted, or I think in php.ini (which I do not know if you have access to, haven't looked around any). The friendly message that you need to be logged in is now displaying correctly.

    Not really. I do from time to time stop by using guest computers. I work 4 different places plus home so I haven't had much time to drop in and when I do it's from someone else's PC.
