I know this spammy opening post has merited and deservedly received a lot of appropriate sarcasm. Regardless I'd like to point out a couple of small points with regard to msn/live.
1. If you have a site that works well in google and you are working to monetize the site, one should do what they can to get high rankings in Yahoo or Live, so long as it doesn't conflict or negate google rankings. 2. All I can say with regard to #1 above, is that for years I've received conversions from high rankings in yahoo and MSN/Live. It adds to the flow of conversions. 3. A while ago in the google section at refugee there was a small thread about anchor text links. In that thread it was noted initially that Google responded most quickly to anchor text links for a phrase with no competition. Thereafter, both MSN/Live and Yahoo both responded and the anchor text link for the phrase Irish Sports Bar in Arlington Va has resulted in #1 rankings in all 3 engines for the site which received that link. 4. I checked today and Live/MSN currently has ranked that site higher than google for two phrases including Irish bar Arlington Va and Sports Bar Arlington Va. It appears that Live/MSN is responsive to anchor text links and also more responsive than google in taking out portions of the anchor text and giving ranking value to the site. I like that. Its an added bonus. Now, I personnally wouldn't spend a minute focusing on just optimizing for Live/MSN. On the other hand, if optimizing for big Google results in high rankings for Y and Live....who is going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I have found that -- in order to get visitors to your article about MSN Optimisation -- you have to link to it first. Or at least post the URL.
What amuses me is that our rule about NOT posting links is apparently stronger than the general idea that people on the www need links or at least URLs to find anything. This is good. SEORefugee is now reshaping the web. We're definitely the coolest - oh yeah

Of course, MSN optimization is about anchor text rather than density. Alas

I read somewhere else that 49% of MSN live users are up to buy online, so even if google sends you more visitors msn will have higher conversion rate, the problem is that msn traffic is really low
