		<description>Great List! I run a business forum and I found it very helpful. I only partially agree with #6 though. Standard 3rd party supported customizations are usually okay. Especially if they have been around for a few years or more.  (Its the "hacks" you want to avoid if possible)  But as you said backup and document before installing anything.</description>
