What have you found out about it so far?
Latent Semantic Indexing, in layman’s terms is the process by which a search engine in general and Google in particular is able to look for websites on the net like a human being would. It can be said that this is a qualitative search method where the search engine looks for relevant material rather than just links that are associated with the keywords. This has vehemently helped users who are digging up the World Wide Web for information about a particular subject or topic. Google has recently started to use and inculcate this new concept.
LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing is used to determine common terms that are identified as keywords of page that are crawled by a search engine as closest counterparts or to its similar context.
I found this on the GG but I don't remember exactly where. Just share to all you guys here
Latent Semantic Indexing is not rocket science, it is simple common sense.
Here are some simple guidelines:
- If your page title is Learn to Play Tennis, make sure your article is about tennis.
- Do not overuse your keywords in the content. It could look like keyword stuffing and the search engines may red flag you.
- Never use Article Spinning Software as it spits out unreadable garble.
- If you outsource your content, choose a quality source.
- Check Google Webmaster Tools and see what keywords your pages are ranking for.
Latent Semantic Indexing is not a trick. You should bear it in mind when adding content to a web page, but do not get paranoid about it. The chances are if you provide quality, relevant content you will never have to worry about falling foul of and LSI checks.
