Well, its half past 3pm (GMT-6) on December 23rd. I was going to write an article for the blog and then realized… its Christmas… relax. So, I went trolling around a bit. I visited an old stomping ground and read through a lot of my old posts there… we had some good times. So, between the trip down the not all that long ago memory lane and the impending holidays, I am in a bit of a sappy holiday mood. Getting SEOrefugee off the ground has been a ton of work but you guys have made it infinitely easier than it should have been. We’ve got wonderful members, many of whom I would call friends. Now, I know we can all get caught up in the work aspects… gotta fix the spell check, gotta get visible rep, gotta get the word out, gotta get more members, but in the end, we all need to remember to enjoy it too. That’s the best part of having a community (be it online or otherwise). I guess what I am trying to say (and probably not too successfully at that) is to enjoy yourselves guys. Take a step back and see how far we’ve come in just over a month and realize how well we are truly doing. These days we can get so caught up in our work, our rankings, our conversions, our sales, that we forget to enjoy the things that we are working for. When I decided to set up SEOrefugee, it was because I wanted to maintain the community that we had established… well, even though its not perfect yet, we certainly have been able to preserve the spirit that we all enjoyed so much. Thanks again guys and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Christmahanakwanzika, what ever applies to you and yours. Enjoy the season!
